Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President

Robin Mackie has served as Chief Technology Officer and Director of Smith Electric Vehicles US Corp. since its inception and was appointed Sr. Vice President of Smith Corp. in November 2011. Mr. Mackie brings over 25 years of engineering experience in the medical and automotive industries and over ten years of experience serving on the boards of directors of technology companies. Prior to joining Smith, from October 2005 to August 2008, Mr. Mackie served as the Director of Product Development of Evo Medical Solutions, a manufacturer and distributor of home respiratory medical devices. Prior to that, Mr. Mackie led several publically funded design and development initiatives involving both the public and private sectors as a technology consultant. This includes work with UK based Express Group, an engineering, product development, and manufacturing company. Mr. Mackie currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Gateshead College in England.
